WTA players at the Rogers Cup fashion show in Montreal

Ana Ivanovic , Maria Sharapova , Aleksandra Wozniak , Dominka Cibulkova , Vera Zvonareva , and the trio of Elena Vesnina , Svetlana Kuznetsova and Elena Dementieva attended the Rogers Cup fashion show in Montreal. Hm, not all of them dressed up for the event, but Masha, of course, didn’t disappoint. I see that Ana’s style didn’t meet everyone’s taste, but I personally like how she looked in Montreal. I admit her dress is a bit strange, seems somehow old-fashioned, but it looks good on Ana, I like that it’s not ordinary. (source: Down the Line ) Share This

Maria Sharapova Wins ESPY Award 2008

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 19, 2008 – Maria Sharapova is not only a tennis player but now she also known as celebrity. She always nominate for ‘Best International Female Athlete’ and ‘Best Female Tennis Player’.  She attended the ESPY awards party held last night in Los Angeles. She was nominated for ‘Best Female Tennis Player’ and she won this title again. This is her Third ESPY Award  and second consecutive title from ESPY Award; before she collect this title on July 11, 2007, the ESPY awards pre party held at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Adorned in a sexy black leather dress and matching stilettos, the former world number one was joined by fellow tennis star Serena Williams. Where Maria was nominated for two awards: ‘Best International Female Athlete’ and ‘Best Female Tennis Player’. This time Maria won the ESPY for best tennis player over finalists Justine Henin and Ana Ivanovic.  The ESPYS are decided by fan voting.

The show, taped at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles and hosted by Timberlake, will air on ESPN this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Dressed To Kill - Melbourne

Apparently, it utilises ultra-dry materials “to beat the heat of Melbourne”.

U.S. Open: Sharapova finally reaches the Final…

The semi final jinx has been broken as Maria Sharapova ousted world no. 1 Amelie Mauresmo 6-0, 4-6, 6-0 to set up a U.S. Open final against No. 2 Justine Henin-Hardenne.

The 19-year-old Sharapova, seeded third, showed little vulnerability. “I’m not done yet,” she told the Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd. But Henin-Hardenne, who packs ferocity inside her petite 5-foot-6-frame, has won their past four meetings.
